This is the design plan for a four-workshop public programme exploring how AI-generated vaccine imagery becomes believable. It is part of my UKRI Smart Data Research UK Fellowship at Manchester Metropolitan University. It is version 0.1, and it is provisional: the timings, activities and facilitator wording are all still open to change.

PPIE: eight pilot AI-literacy community guides, co-produced with Manchester communities were published and distributed through Chorlton Library as part of the Manchester City of Literature Festival of Libraries in June, and online via the AHEAD website.

In May I took my Synthetic Realities poster to the Digital Footprints Conference 2026 in York, the fourth edition of an event that brings academics, policymakers, government and industry together around one question: what is digital data actually good for, and who does it serve?

I spent a day in Westminster with my fellow Smart Data Research UK cohort, and it was one of the best days of the fellowship so far.
